Fotis is a Ph.D. candidate in the Philosophy of Open Science dealing with the impact of emerging digital technologies on research and how infrastructural challenges can become opportunities for novel ways of coordinating scientific work. Fotis has also been an early bird in novel social movements that have emerged in the space of blockchain-based orgs such as Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs), Decentralized Science (DeSci), and Regenerative Finance (ReFi). He has been part of decentralized communities such as Smart Contract Research Forum, Metagov, and Kernel exploring new ways of work and new decentralized internet infrastructures that escape the perils of the Web 2.0 era.
